Caption: Why I love Temple Basin New Zealand
Caption: Over the past 5 years Shane Orchard and Rich Harcourt from Splitn2 have been joining forces and really pushing the Splitboard scene to what it is today and over the last weekend I was fortunate to join them in promoting such an amazing and self challenging sport that has shaped me into who I am today over the last 15 years and it reminded me of why I love Temple Basin so I decided to do a quick write up.

Caption: The first thing you need to know about Temple Basin is that is is a hour hike just to get to the ski field.

Caption: And once you are there you are at the mercy of being dragged up the hill by a rope tow system the is uniquely in NZ called a Nut Cracker

Caption: But the inbounds terrain can't be compared with anywhere I have had the good fortune to go to

Caption: Thank you Temple Basin for another awesome event and to Shane and Rich for putting it on.
