Caption: I launched Great Bear Wax Co. In the winter of 2013. When we started pouring candles, we only produced all local Beeswax Candles. This was short lived due to diminishing supply of available beeswax. We now pour Soy wax.
Caption: When it comes to masculinity and candles, there is a very polarized market. One side is exclusively producing very feminine, perfume heavy candles. The other, it's own take on a "man" candle with fragrances ranging from BBQ to "Bikini Babe". (I couldn't make this stuff up) We wanted to produce a candle that is a well designed, well crafted addition to any room. A candle that both men and women feel confident buying and burning at home.

Caption: I am passionate about the outdoors. Most of our candles have been inspired by the natural world like; Campfire, Forest, Wooden no.1, and Red Cedar.

Caption: Our other fragrances include; Lavender, Tobacco Bay (our current best seller), Patchouli Jasmine, and an essential oil line that included Grapefruit. Eucalyptus Clove, and Red Cedar.

Caption: This is Alexander Lazzari, the production manager. I've known Laz for about 10 years. We grew up in the same city, Fairhope Ala. Both went to Auburn University, and moved to Birmingham around the same time. He is trustworthy, artful, and passionate. He was the perfect addition to he vision of Great Bear.
