Caption: Triund A wanderer's dream
Caption: Outside the hustle bustle of city, and the choices of a normal life, I live in a village nestled on the slopes of a mountain range in lower himalayan region. And this is my story about triund.
Picture
Caption: Triund, a grazing ground since as long as anyone remembers. It's an eleven kilometers hike from my home. Where I often go.

Caption: They say we are nothing but a sheep, lead by none other but our Lord Shiva, the eternal shepherd. But where is our Lord leading us.
Picture
Caption: We are a sheep, we are a thought existing for a moment in the mind of universe. Each one of us is a unique thought, floating in this emptiness, trying to fill it with our existence. And this emptiness is nothing but a vast grassland, but what are we grazing here?

Caption: It's a thought that haunts us, a question that begs for answer. And answer is nothing but this world, which exists in front of us.

Caption: But rarely we realise that our surroundings is just a reflection of our soul, and the magic we seek already exists within us.
Picture
Caption: And so I often take this hike to Triund I look up, staring at the snowcapped peaks and wonder if they've been relaying all the answers for ages now, but it's just us who're ignorant enough to not care about the sounds of nature.

Picture
Caption: What does these mountains say, what stories do they tell?
What is it that they know, do they know my answers?
Picture
Caption: I know they've been around for ages, they've been visited by many like me. Surely they must hold some secrets.
Somedays I listen to their silence and try to decipher it, only to fail. Is it because I try too hard?
Picture
Caption: And so I often get lost midst the chaos in my mind, it is then when I look up and stare at these mountains. They stare back at me everyday, as if their silence is the answer I seek.
Picture
Caption: I listen to this silence of the howling winds, silence of my heartbeats, silence of the valleys and rivers boisterously flowing through them. I listen to words that haven't been uttered.
Caption: And so I know that there exists more than we see, we hear, we taste, we touch. There exists a part of us that still calls to be discovered.
Picture
Caption: And hence I walk, in search of that part, in search of me, in search of the mysteries that I could see.
