Picture
Caption: I woke up on Saturday morning, sniffed the air and knew that something was apaw...
My bags were packed, the car loaded up, and off I went with Mum and Dad.
Soon we were on the ferry to the Isle of Wight! I had never been on a boat before, so it was a new experience for me! After a good sniff of the sea air, although it was a tad windy, I settled down to watch the view...

Caption: After the ferry ride, we soon arrived here. Home for the week. It was a former Blacksmiths cottage that was built in 1701! It had some low doorways, but that isn't a problem for me!
Picture
Caption: Mum and Dad said this little one in the front garden was for me! I gave it a good sniff, but said no thanks!
Caption: The next day we went to Mottistone. The gardens are lovely, lots of plants to sniff. Then a walk up Mottistone Down was rewarded with splendid views.

So after a good sleep that night, we visited the wonderful Ventnor Botanical Gardens. I made sure to steer clear of these prickly plants!

Caption: You are always never far from some amazing coastal views.
Picture
Caption: We had a long walk downhill to Steephill Cove. A very picturesque place. Unfortunately a walk down means a walk back uphill!!
Caption: The following day, we went to Compton Bay. A lovely sandy beach. I met my pal Lily for 🐾
The views both way were amazing. One second I was admiring the view, the next I had to escape as the sea was after me!!
I hate the water, so always try and avoid getting my paws wet.

Caption: Another day, another beach! We went to Priory Bay, a secluded sandy beach that we had to ourselves. It was a bit of a trek through the woods around the headland, but it was well worth it.

Caption: All this fun on the beach, and I needed a good snooze.
Not even a red squirrel outside was enough to wake me up!

Caption: We headed to Newtown Nature Reserve. The walk was in two parts, a coastal walk and then woodlands.
The woodlands had an amazing bluebell wood. Then we turned turned a corner and discovered a glade of wood anemones. It was an amazing walk, little paths with wild flowers, and just the peacefulness of woodland sounds...

Caption: We stopped off at Winkle Street. A picturesque lane of old cottages and a stream.
Picture
Caption: I took the opportunity to rest my paws and admire the view.

Caption: More pawrest on a walk from Yarmouth to Freshwater, following the river. Where there are seagulls, there is normally food, so I kept my eyes on them!

Caption: I'm getting the hang of being a sea-dog, but not sure I fancy going on one of those small ones...
Picture
Caption: After a good walk, maybe a lick of ice cream or cream tea, there is nothing better than a lick of Dads leg...
Caption: ...then after that a good snooze is needed...
