Caption: This is what I miss in winter, when the days creep short and evenings are spent indoors. I miss being outdoors. We are evening walkers. The softer light, the cooler air, and the quietness after the daytime walkers have left to head home. I love these last few hours of light and the way the skies change. And I love the unplanned trips down the coast. Finishing work for the day and just getting in the car, as we did on Thursday. We’d planned to have a walk at the lagoons, but John Muir Country Park is a quick drive for us, about thirty minutes away, straight down the A1. So when Richard suggested heading to John Muir instead, of course I said yes.
