Caption: To the North of London lies
Epping Forest, an ancient woodland
of trees, rivers, ponds and grassland covering six thousand acres.
Although the forest dates back to Neolithic times, it was was given to
the people by Queen Victoria in 1882.
Residents have the right to graze
cattle and collect fallen wood.
By late Autumn it's full to the brim
with colour and texture.
Decay and renewal are just
round the corner.
