Caption: After 5 days in cities to start our #adventuremos trip, we needed to get outside. Bogota, Medellin, and Manizales were all cool, but as PNWers, there was a need to be near nature. So, we headed out into the Colombian coffee country to the small town of Solento.

Caption: Solento is most famous for being close to the Valle de Cocora, or the Valley of the Wax Palms. These massive trees climb four stories into the sky and stand as dr. Seuss-esque sentries over the trails, farms, and cow pastures that live beneath their straight trunks.

We joined with 80 others, some from the states and many from around the world to give thanks for the blessings we were enjoying in life. We even ended up next to a couple from Seattle! It's a small world.
