Caption: In 2014, I spent 3 weeks in beautiful Iceland. Renting a small 4x4 was the best decision we made. A close second was to camp as much as possible. Iceland is full of incredible camping locations with all the amenities you need, or you can always camp in the wild like we did. Go to Iceland, you will fall in love with the natural beauty and the friendliness of it's people.

Caption: Iceland's weather is constantly changing. You may wake up to rain and gloomy skies, only to be wearing sunscreen later that afternoon. And again the same night may turn to snow. If you plan to make a trip here (and you really should) be prepared for all conditions in the summer.

Caption: Þingvellir National Park This park is a must for travelers. The Eurasian and North American plates pull away from one another at this point. If you time it right, you can avoid tour buses. Which means very early, or after 5pm.

Caption: I found Geysir to be the biggest tourist attraction in Iceland. Although worth seeing and beautiful, you will be surrounded by tour buses full of people. The lodge is VERY large with a gift shop and two restaurants. However, don't let that discourage you from visiting this wonder!
