Caption: I've always enjoyed making popsicles at home. I love leaving them in the freezer and just get one out when I feel that I deserve a sweet treat.

Caption: Apple Yogurt Popsicles
Chop red Royal Gala apples into very
small cubes, with/without peeling off
the skin of the fruit.
Place the small cubes into the mould then pour plain yogurt over the apples till the mould is filled.
You may also cook your apples (caramelized apples!) before placing them in the mould.
Place moulds into the freezer. I usually leave them there overnight.

I love the extra crunch and sweetness the apples bring. And it's so easy!

Caption: Butterscotch Pudding Popsicles I referred to Smitten Kitchen's recipe for this.
Yields 4
You will need:
1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, at room temp
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Flaky sea salt to taste
1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
3/4 cups whole milk
Caption: Combine cream, sugar and butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring it to boil then reduce heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally in the beginning and more often as it reduces and thickens. It's done when it becomes darker, more syrupy and smells toasty.
Add cornstarch and slowly whisk in milk. Raise heat to medium. Stir frequently till it thickens. Remove from heat and add vanilla and sea salt. Taste mixture and you may adjust salt if needed.
Pour into moulds when mixture turns lukewarm.

I really loved how these popsicles tasted, just that they melted a little too quickly.
If you've tips to prevent this, do share!

Caption: Dark Cherries Yogurt Popsicle I got a can of dark cherries in syrup but I'm sure you can make your own ones at home.
Chop some of the dark cherries into small chunks and stir into plain yogurt.
Place some whole cherries into the mould, then pour the yogurt in later to fill the mould.
Place mould into freezer.
-
The texture of cherries make them really suitable to freeze. If you've fresh cherries they would be a great substitute to the can ones I got! (Fresh cherries are really expensive here.)

Caption: Mango Yogurt Popsicles Cut ripe mango into cubes and place
them in blender.
I poured in about 200ml of plain yogurt with every large ripe mango used. You can
start blending with lesser amount of yogurt
and just adjust accordingly to your
tastes and preferences.
Pour purée into moulds then place
moulds into freezer.

One of the best popsicles I've made all thanks to the sweet juicy mangoes. It really tastes like froyo on a stick!

Caption: Soft Pear Yogurt Popsicle Wash the pears, peel the fruit and keep some of the skin of the fruit for later.
Chop the pears into small cubes. Again, you can choose to caramelize your pears. Stir some of the pears into the plain yogurt.
Line the bottom of the mould with the skin of the fruit you kept from earlier on.
Carefully place the small cubes of pear in first then pour in the yogurt later.
Place moulds into freezer.
-
I used really soft pears for this and it was pretty divine.
Caption: These recipes are really easy and you can create your own ones with almost any other type of soft, juicy fruits.
If you find the yogurt too plain for your liking, you can always add in some fruit juices, maple syrup or honey into it or just blend the fruit with the yogurt.
Popsicles are one of the little joys in my life, especially in hot and sunny Singapore. 🌞
Sorry I know it's not summer now but I hope you will still get a chance to make them! I'm sure kids will love making them too.
