Caption: At the end of 2014 I travelled by train from London to Edinburgh, in Scotland.
I was invited to document the Scottish New Years celebration known as HOGMANAY using a mobile phone.
Several images were shared instantly using Instagram for #blogmanay, but here I am looking to create a visual essay for a longer look at the trip to Hogmanay 2014.
Caption: Why Hogmanay? There's nothing like Hogmanay.
Edinburgh is a festival town, and each year after Christmas, Edinburgh turns into a New Years party for travellers from all corners of the earth.
The party is Hogmamay.
There's the Viking lead torchlight procession, the Ceilidh (traditional Scottish Dance) and then the huge party on Princes Street crowned at midnight by fireworks from Edinburgh Castle.
After the party Scotland is right there for anyone wishing to go further into the highlands, or journey as far as Skye, or as near as Gleneagles.
