Caption: In february 2015 I went for my geography teacher training to Nepal.
We visited the capital Kathmandu, peaceful Dhading, breathtaking Dhampus and touristic Pokhara.
This is my journey through the wonderful Nepal.
Caption: Kathmandu We started in the capital Kathmandu, to see the historical sites of Nepal and to visit some factories and schools.
On the first day in Kathmandu we went to the Durbar Square of Kathmandu, this is one of the three Royal Palace squares in Nepal. We also visited the Buddha temple "Swayambhunath" and the stupa of "Boudhanath".

Caption: Kathmandu On the second day in Kathmandu we visited an felt factory where shoes, bags and souvenirs are made by locals. We also went to an primary school in the center of Kathmandu.

Caption: Dhading After the crowding of Kathmandu we went to the rural site of Nepal, Dhading. We visited some small villages and stayed with family's for the night.

Caption: Dhampus After our visit to the beautiful Dhading we went to Dhampus for the "Millenium Trek". This trek takes you up to 2000 metres. We stayed for a night in the mountainvillage Dhampus to catch a sight of the Himalaya range.

Caption: I met this little girl named Marina on our way back. Marina was curious about my camera so I helped her taking some pictures.
Caption: Pokhara After the trek we spent our last days in the touristic city Pokhara. We visited Lake Pokhara and did some souvenir shopping. An great way to end our amazing journey.

On the 25th of April Nepal got hit by an 7.8 magnitude earthquake, my thoughts are with them.
