Caption: Why not starting my 2020 with some traveling story?
Picture
Caption: The land of Viking Don’t get confused. There’s Iceland, there’s Greenland. The Vikings gave their names. They purposely mis-naming them to distract their enemies so that their enemies woulf go to ice-covered Greenland.
Picture
Caption: I started my journey by boarding the Iceland Air. This airlines is really special. All of Iceland Air aeroplanes are named after the volcanos that populated the country. I boarded with Eldborg.
Picture
Caption: First stop: Reynisfjara.
Picture
Caption: This black beach is literally a lava! I found various sizes of black pebbles & stones.
Picture
Caption: Second stop: Stóri Geysir.
Picture
Caption: This Great Geysir erupts every 5 minutes & the water is really hot, 80-100 degree.
Picture
Caption: Third stop: Gullfoss.
Picture
Caption: Four stop: Skógafoss.
Picture
Caption: Local legend has it that there is treasure buried in a cave behind the waterfall.
Picture
Caption: Fifth stop: Sólheimajökull.
Picture
Caption: It’s somehow sad. This lagoon is a product of glacial runoff. It didn’t exist 10 years ago. Back then, it was all just ice.
Picture
Caption: In Iceland about 11 billion tons of glacial ice melt due to global warming every year.
Picture
Caption: Sixth stop: Vík í Mýrdal.
Picture
Caption: Then, just some south coast sightseeing.
Picture
Caption: And also breathtaking sunrise along the way.
Picture
Caption: Simply, Iceland is the most beautiful land I’ve seen.
Picture
Caption: That’s one of my favorite trips.
Until next time.
