Caption: Max the cat was found by a rescue group in South Florida after somebody dumped him in a feral cat colony

Whoever had dumped him had also abused him and he wasn't so trusting of humans after all that, even though he wanted to be.
Caption: When Max first started living with me, his favorite place was in the farthest corner under my bed. He came out to eat and do his business and sometimes to just hang out with me, but any loud noise would send him right back under the bed.
