Caption: The Snaefellsnes (Sny-fell-Sness) Peninsula on the western side of Iceland is a golden grassed and lava field filled area of an already beautiful country. It's crown jewel is the ice cap Snaefellsjokull, from which Jules Verne made the entrance of his journey to the center of the earth.

The grounds are surrounded by lush wetlands, snow capped mountains, and endless lava fields.
The hotel is also home to the friendliest face on the peninsula - a house dog named Nagli who greets guests as they enter and routinely follows them on their hikes.
