Caption: Sinterklaas celebration Sinterklaas or Saint Nicholas in English, is a fun and quite crazy tradition here in the Netherlands. It's celebrated in the evening on Dec. 5th, when Sinterklaas and his helpers (the Zwartepiets) bring presents to all the kids.
An important part of the tradition are these "Pepernoten"; delicious cookies that are super easy to make.
In fact my kids make these on their own, and so far this year they have made 3 batches and the cookies were all gone within the first days...
I'm a bit undecided whether that's a good thing or not;)
