Caption: EggNog A No-Cook Recipe
Caption: EggNog... ...just sounds like the holidays, doesn't it? Something about the way it rolls off my tongue, or the memories it evokes, and maybe even the punch-happy grin that slides across my face when I think of the taste.
Regardless of the association, I think I can safely state that everyone loves eggnog. Not the store bought kind made with uncertain components of even less certain origin, but the homemade stuff; the stuff your mom, or aunt, or grandma made. The recipe that had to be "aged" in the refrigerator overnight just to get the flavor right. Ahh, yes. That kind.
Unfortunately, in these days of hustle and bustle we tend to think of ourselves as lacking time and forget to make it the night before. And then, we are woefully disappointed and settle for the store bought carton. But not anymore! The genius of this recipe is that it sits a grand 2 hours before you serve. AND no cooking required.
