Caption: Braiding Tips and Inspiration
Caption: Braiding is my thing. I've been doing it for about 4 years. I have two daughters who have put up with me practicing on them their whole lives (and some other family members) and I'm so grateful for them! This is a story of some of my past braids. I hope it inspires you!

Caption: Adding Texture I used the Sam villa TEXTUR iron to achieve the fullness needed for this never ending braid. Texture makes braiding much easier and fuller! The TEXTUR tool is a must have.

TIP: If you tug on the outside edges of the braid gently, you can create a "pancaked" effect.

TIP: when you're doing a French braid, try adding hair in only on one side and braiding the other side as you would a regular three strand braid! This effect is called lace braiding. When you switch sides that you lace braid, you can create this type of braid.

Caption: Elastics Tip: When using elastics, they can cause damage and breakage if removed improperly.
To remove them, simply BREAK them.
Do not attempt to pull them out without breaking them. Elastics are only strong enough to use once anyway, so you're not wasting anything.
You can purchase small elastics at any store that carries hair supplies. My favorite place to get them is Walmart!
