Caption: Printmaking is my therapy..... I love the look of hand printed blocks, the imperfections create a unique print every time. Everyone has their own style of printing... It can vary from inks, tools, blocks, and fibers, not to mention personal style. This is why I love printmaking!

Caption: Ink... I have been experimenting with different inks to find the best for how I print on fabric. My studio is hot and dry this time of year so the ink can dry quick.

This is a combination of a screen printing ink and a block printing ink both made for textiles.

Screen Printing Ink is
Versatex.
Block Printing Ink is Speedball.

Caption: I wanted to mix an ink to match this fabric. Just because it looks perfect.... It doesn't always mean it will print this color. It depends on the transparency of the ink.

The first print is always light. I don't mind part of the character of it all!

Caption: I print on my ironing board, it is padded and when you are hand printing it helps to have a little give to the printing surface.

This can get really addictive...
