It is one of my favorite bird calls. It reminds me of hiking through the woods, birdwatching with my dad, camping, and Grand Teton National Park.

Caption: The Lucy's warbler lives in northern Utah, California, western Texas, and into some parts of Mexico. It is the smallest in the warbler family, and distinct because of the red cap/crown found on the male warbler.

Caption: The Common Loon is a very cool bird. Able to run on water and make big nests out of aquatic material. They live in Canada, Alaska, and the northern edge of the United States. The Loon is mostly heard at night, it also has a wailing haunting call- some say it sounds a little like a wolf howling.

Caption: The Acorn Woodpecker is known for its red cap, storing acorns in holes in a tree, and having no fear. The Woodpecker is very vocal and lives in groups with many family's. It lives in California, western Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and Central America to Colombia.

Caption: The Northern Cardinal is a brilliant bird. It has a bright fiery red color and a small mohawk. It lives year round in the eastern part of the United States and much through Mexico. It has been introduced in Hawaii and California. Both male and female birds sing and often visit bird feeders.

Caption: The American Goldfinch is one of my favorite bird, it is an amazing yellow color and has the most beautiful and unique song. It lives in open woodlands, brushy areas, weedy fields, and gardens. Goldfinches can also be seen at bird feeders in the early spring and all through out summer.

Caption: The Burrowing Owl is a small cute owl. It lives in holes dug out by prairie dogs in prairie fields. It lives in some provinces in Canada and in the tip of Argentina. While the Owl is breeding it lives in the United States. The Owl will eat large insects, rodents, lizards and occasionally bats. Big appetite for a small bird.

Caption: The American Kestrel is a small falcon found in the United States, south of the Arctic, and while breeding found all over North America. The Kestrel likes to live near open places so it can hunt, and likes to nest in hollow trees. They can often be found sitting on telephone wires.
