Caption: I think we can all agree that April was a strange month. Dad was working from home, so we had the important task of managing two humans on a daily basis. We never went anywhere in the car but instead explored local walks and new sniffs. There was quite a lot of Netflix. The days crept longer and the temperature shifted from winter to spring. And we spent more time in the garden. And we snuggled, of course. This was our April. Harris + Bracken x

Caption: Having Dad at home all day also meant there was more of this - being randomly scooped up for cuddles. Not that we complain about this, but we aren’t always overjoyed either...

Caption: We also helped with Mum’s yoga practice (as always). Dad now works in Mum’s yoga space, and this threw Mum’s routine in the early days of WFH, so she would roll out her mat in the sitting room instead. So here we are, helping.

Caption: And sometimes Mum would persuade Dad to get on the yoga mat and we would help him too. Here we are discussing some variations of downward dog.

Caption: The ash lagoons became our favourite place during these weeks. It was always the quietest place to walk, and it gave us the woodland sniffs that we were missing from our usual walks.

Caption: The ash lagoons have an industrial past, and this spot is a reminder of that. Dad and I didn’t really understand why Mum wanted a photo here, on this concrete platform, but we like to be supportive so we got up here and smiled. (Sort of.)

Caption: This riverside walk along the Esk is our longest local walk, and the greenest. We avoid the main path and follow these little pathways that wind through the trees.
