KRAJI SAMOTE

(Places of solitude)

In September of 2018 I exhibited Kraji Samote (places of solitude) at the Media Nox gallery in Maribor, Slovenia. In short, the aim of this exhibition was to explore the ways in which solitude affects us, and why we are attracted to it. I wanted to share these photographs with you, and engage in the larger discussion of how solitude makes us feel. So please feel free to comment. I hope you find solace within these photographs.

Beautiful photos Alexander. 🙌🏻 I’m always drawn to these quiet moments away from people - it just cleanses the mind and calms me. I feel this more and more as I get older. When I was young, I didn’t feel this need at all, but now it’s always there...

It’s funny how this change feels like such a profound shift @mombo I like it, but it really is a shift. When I was younger, I went to the gym to unwind, and the cinema was my kinda happy place. There are two brilliant indie cinemas in Edinburgh - that’s where I went. But now, the thought of being surrounded by people... 😵🤦🏻‍♀️ Quiet vibes only please!
