When visiting the historic Slane Castle, there are two things you need to be ready for...

Whiskey...

And Rock ‘n’ Roll!

A tour of Slane Distillery takes visitors through their heritage room, barley room, cooperage, and maturation warehouse before a final stop that provides a view of the pot stills and production areas. The tour concludes in the best way possible with a taste of their signature triple casked blend, Slane Irish Whiskey.

Acts such as U2, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Guns ‘N Roses, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, David Bowie, Queen, and REM have performed in Slane. U2, uniquely, have performed three times at the venue – playing support to the renowned Irish band, Thin Lizzy, who headlined Slane with their first show in 1981. Look for Metallica in Summer 2019!

Both Bruce and Bowie have played here.

Meet Alex Conyngham—the castle has been the family seat of the Conyngham family since it was built in the late 18th century, on land first purchased in 1703.
