he national gallery of Ireland is an incredible building. We actually didn’t plan to go here but are so glad we did. We queued outside in the sun (yes, we queued...) and when we went in we were so surprised at how incredible the building was. Let me show you around.
By the way, I wasn’t joking. We actually queued like it was a Supreme drop!
The National Gallery of Ireland, founded in 1854, houses a rich collection of over 16,300 artworks. Spanning the history of western European art, from around 1300 to the present day, the collection includes well-known artists from Mantegna and Titian to Monet and Picasso.
I love seeing art, but in these places I love the architecture, the way they hang the paintings and the way the people walk around the space, so for the rest of the story you’ll see that!

If you ever come take photos with me I will make you feel awkward with how close I photograph people...!
... and just before I finish, on the next page is some photos of me looking lost...
Go check out the National Gallery of Ireland. It’s a stunning place. My bet is get there early, take your time and relax! We went on a Sunday and it opened at 11am, perfect weekend activity... oh, and it’s free!
