Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way
A Day of Discovery
On April 28, 2019, I was assigned by #TourismIreland and Steller.co to explore parts of the Wild Atlantic Way in County Donegal. After enjoying the beautiful red sunrise’s reflection on Lough Eske at Harvey’s Point I began my day-long road journey . I followed the squiggly marked signs along the #WildAtlanticWay as I drove over one-lane roads and two-lane motorways. I was eager with anticipation to see what treasures I would find in the northwest region of Donegal. The eclectic mix of gems I found both surprised and delighted me. Come along to see what I discovered.
Not far from Harvey’s Point I found the Donegal Golf Club —one of Ireland’s Top 10 fairways. The Golf Club sits adjacent to Murvagh Beach. Anyone who knows me understands that I feel most at home on a beach so I went in search of others.
The Highest Cliffs in Ireland
The fog was thick and the road to the top of the cliffs was steep. The gorgeous view made it worth the climb.
