Inside a silverware outlet just off the main road in the Irish town of Newbridge is the an extraordinary (and improbable) collection of clothing and artifacts worn by some of the biggest names in cinema and pop culture history.

THE FREE MUSEUM INCLUDES DRESSES, GOWNS AND SUITES WORN BY STYLE ICONS SUCH AS MARILYN MONROE, PRINCESS DIANA, RITA HAYWORTH, PRINCESS GRACE AND THE BEATLES.

THE COLLECTION STARTED IN 2006 WHEN NEWBRIDGE SILVER PURCHASED THE BLACK COCKTAIL DRESS WORN BY AUDREY HEPBURN IN THE 1963 MOVIE “CHARADE.”

THE COLLECTION HAS SINCE GROWN TO INCLUDE SCORES OF SOME OF THE MOST RECOGNIZABLE CLOTHING IN MODERN TIMES, INCLUDING MANY PIECES ON LOAN FROM OTHER COLLECTIONS.
