& tulip paradise Lisse
Leiden - #cityofdiscoveries A few weeks ago I visited city Leiden in my home country The Netherlands with 3 photography friends: @dromelot , @sandraengels73 and @plndm Leiden seduced us with her historical charm: canals, facades, beguinages. Just a 100 steps from the shopping streets you’ll be able to discover peaceful spots.
We strolled through gorgeous streets like Rapenburg, Groenhazengracht and Pieterskerkhof.
And we found the cutest pink house ever... [ Street: Groenhazengracht ]
...a nice taylor window...
... plus the door famous painter #Rembrandt used to open to study.
Leiden is a university city since 1575, and has been one of Europe's most prominent scientific centres for more than four centuries. University buildings are scattered throughout the city and the many students from all over the world give the city a bustling, vivid and international atmosphere. Many important scientific discoveries have been made here, giving rise to Leiden's motto: ‘City of Discoveries’.
We topped off the day with an evening visit to the flowerfields nearby in Lisse. >>> Photo next page is shot by @plndm and edited by me. I am the woman with the hat (and I never wear hats ;0))
@plndm caught in the act.
Had fun with scale...
... and with Lightroom edits afterwards.
Thanks for watching!
