Vietnam

Today’s story is about another one of my favourite places to visit..... Vietnam..... The country is so diverse, from bustling cities to rice terrace mountain sides, from tropical beach resorts to ancient French colonial villages, this country has something for everyone - food, culture & fun.

Firstly the exchange rate is awesome so you feel like an instant millionaire 💰💰💰

Our adventure begins in Hanoi the capital of Vietnam. It’s known for centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. The Old Quarter where we stayed was amazing, food, markets and friendly people everywhere.

When you’re in a humid Asian climate the best way to cool down is a icy cold local beer 🍻

And eat some delicious Bún Cha. Bún Cha is grilled fatty pork served with cold rice noodles, fresh herbs and an amazing dipping sauce with meat balls 🤤🤤🤤

Next it was time to jump on this overnight train and head up into the mountains to a town called Sapa.

Sapa is high up in the mountains and is a famous place to go trekking through the terraced rice fields of the Muong Hoa Valley,

We trekked down into the Hmong (local hill tribe) village.

And explored these amazing terraced rice fields

After we left Sapa we headed directly to the famous HaLong Bay for an overnight cruise. A must do if you’re visiting Northern Vietnam

Our final destination was my favourite part of Vietnam.... Hoi An. It’s an ancient town filled with French colonial history. The town is peaceful and relaxing in the day and then night time hits and it comes to life. Market stalls line the river, lanterns light the streets and the smell of food fills the air. This is another big big #bucketlist destination.
