Nestled along the northwest coast of Portugal the city of Porto is surrounded in medieval history and port wine production.
This historic cathedral replaced its St. John statue with this one because people kept stealing St. John. Officials felt that this caveman statue was too ugly to steal.
We stayed in the House of Sandeman, an upscale hostel that is connected to the Sandeman port wine aging facility. Thus, began our search for the elusive Sandeman Don.
We found the Don’s young apprentice and...some port wine.
We performed our due diligence and tasted these wines for the sake of “research”.
