French Quarter

Part 2 - New Orleans, LA

Another very early morning. We retraced our steps in a few places. For the most part, we found new things we missed. Such is New Orleans, She is an onion, so many layers.

Windows are the building’s eyes, if you look close, you see their Soul.

Through a fire (1788 - 856 of the 1100 structures in the French quarter burned). A flood (1927 - 15” of rain in 18 hours. Which is how they got the levee system). Hurricanes (Katrina - 2005, broke the levee system) and a War (1812), New Orleans has survived. She has always come back stronger. Her people, Her history, Her diversity, Her instinct and so much more.
