The Reason Why
Living a life as a visual artist must be full of twists and turns. I bought my first digital camera, a Fujifilm X-T1 mirrorless camera in late 2014 and studied photography by myself through youtube and online articles. Trying to take photos of various genres and finally become a travel photographer. But being a travel photographer didn't satisfy me because I felt something was missing and seemed to be lying to myself.
At one time, just recently, I rediscovered my passion. Before taking digital photos, when I was a musician, I took pictures with film cameras and Lomography cameras. Multiple exposure and reversal color from lomography really amazed me. In addition, things that amaze me are RPG games, neon noir, cyberpunk, and of course Japanese animation (anime). But because of distractions I forgot all of them.
In short, I went back to the reason why I took pictures in the beginning. I also started trying to take pictures at night every day and I felt different things. I feel alive again. These results during night hunting, multiple exposures, and also old photo results that I have never shared before.
“It’s Time to Catch Up”
“Child of Light”
“Everything you can imagine is real.”
“To the Future”
“I paint objects as I think them, not as I see them.”
Every day I practice and try to make what I imagine come true. I don't give space for fear and negative toughts, don’t want logic to ruin the pleasure of making art. Thanks for reading. Wira siahaan
