A Summer Remembered

Jamaica Pond

Jamaica Pond is part of the historic Emerald Necklace designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. Located in the neighborhood of Jamaica Plain in Boston, Massachusetts, it is popular year round but more so in the summer. My commute to work decidedly takes me to this part of Boston and in the summer, I usually come here after a twelve hour work to run or walk or just enjoy the remainder of the day especially at sunset when it is most irresistible. 🏃🏽‍♂️🌅⛵️

Featuring the boats in the pond like this one named K•Zilla.

The Boathouse

“Lost time is never found again.” Benjamin Franklin ⛵️

I love the boats here and most times they looked like I staged them for photographs.

“Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.” William Wordsworth 🛶

“ Nature does nothing uselessly.” ~Aristotle

“Every once in a while, take the scenic route.”

H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

Sunset revelers

“Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it.” ~Russel Baker

Very satisfying when you go out and find the scene ready to be photographed.

I am happy when I have a camera in my hand.

They are one of my favorite subjects to photograph. It lends a charming addition to the landscape, present but not intrusive.
