November was mostly dark. Too-short days and long nights. I don’t mind the cold, but the lack of light is hard at this time of year. We had two weekends of rain and gloom, and two weekends with lovely light, so many of these photos are from the latter. November was about making the most of the light as autumn shifted into winter.
There was this walk at John Muir Country Park when the tide was far out, and we were able to walk around the bay as the sun was setting. This has become our favourite walk.
This vast empty beach - see the figures for scale. It was getting dark, but first, there was this dreamy pink-toned sky. And in the distance, you can just see Bass Rock.
