Today a very autumn cake made with almond apples. I chose a rennet apple because they are perfect for desserts and are slightly sour. They are also dry apples that do not get too sweet. This is a cake for breakfast or for the afternoon snack break with a French touch given by the leaf almonds and the caramelization of the cane sugar during cooking.

I added a generous amount of cinnamon that is very good with apples. This is a dessert that comes from popular tradition and I decided to make it modern and slightly refined. With an extra touch of class! Try to make it happen and you will see that you will be happy with it.

Ingredients: 4 renetta apples 150g of 00 flour 100g of almond flour 170g Greek yogurt 3 eggs 100g brown sugar 2 tablespoons of cinnamon 16g baking powder 50g leaf almonds #recipe for 6 persons

How to do: Peel and cut two apples into chunks. Work the eggs with the sugar. Mix the flour with baking powder and cinnamon. Add the yogurt and melted butter to the dough. Stir in the flour and finally the apples in chunks. After mixing the mixture well, pour it into a greased and floured 20-22cm diameter pan.

Arrange the other two sliced ​​apples on the surface. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Sprinkle the surface with the sliced ​​almonds and then a final sprinkling of brown sugar. Bake in hot oven at 180 ° C for about 50 minutes. Take the toothpick test before removing the cake from the oven.
