America’s Pastime In Canada

As an avid baseball fan, I had to attend a Blue Jays game. Rogers Centre is my favorite MLB park I’ve visited yet.

Casa Loma

Spanish for “house on the hill”, this castle was financed by businessman and soldier Sir Henry Pellatt, who first introduced hydro-electricity to Canada.

Norman Tower

The path was full of steep, winding stairs, but once I arrived at the top, the view of the city was worth it.

Henry Pellatt was in a financial crisis after spending millions on renovations to his home and began to auction off many of his belongings. In 1937, Casa Loma was seized by the city due to unpaid taxes and opened as a tourist destination.

We took a ferry to the park to explore and view Lake Ontario.
