2018 Race Season
Fun whilst it lasted!
The 2018 season started slowly but when fitness picked up, the results started coming.
E12 Town centre crits on long summer evenings were an absolute blast. Guildford was fruitless. Farnham was a 9th for me.
Handicap races were the staple of my road season and the source of most of my small points total. Great events with a top bunch of lads. Gutted to have missed out on the Championships due to complications with minor surgery.
My first cycling passion; XC MTB
Nationals on the Isle of Man was a disaster!
With less races that the road scene, it was great fun to enter a few off road XC races. A 3rd at Mattersley Bowl was the highlight of my XC season, along with a 6th earlier in the year at Minley Woods.
3 of us got away early on and stayed away at Southern XC Round 3.
A spot of Enduro keeps you sharp.
The best summer of our lives made for magical sunrise spins. Hitting the lanes on my own, heading into the forest on the MTB or joining up with the 6am chaingang, mornings are the best time to ride!

My good friends from Epoca Bikes and Parentini kindly invited me to the beautiful Abruzzo region of Italy. Residing at the beautiful Casa Rosati, Ripa, it was an idillic few days. I’ll be back!
Coffee & cycling. What else do you need?
A few road races were shoehorned into the schedule too but I couldn’t fulfil my schedule do to family commitments and some minor surgery.
Trying to get a break going...
A few points from a lively race.
It’s not all about competition.
In between rides, I squeezed in a surfing lesson. LOVE at first go!
The Dragon Ride. 300km through beautiful, lumpy Wales 🏴
It was a pleasure to ride alongside Mark and James during a leg of their Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle challenge. The lads did it for O2e and raised over £10,000. Chapeau!
Despite all the rides I’ve done this year, the most significant and the most fun have been with this little guy keeping me company.
Sebby loving his new MacRides seat. Perfect viewing and keeps the bike perfectly balanced.
Even the youngster loves cycling!
Our first family bike ride! 💙❤️
