June was a month of change. We left our home, the only home I’ve known, and went to live in a strange new place. New sniffs, new places. New walks. New everything. It all felt strange.
June was also a month for sunsets. For long days and beach walks in the last light. And it was the month when 🙋🏻♂️ and I both turned a year older and wiser. This was our June.
all our things were packed away...
including 🙋🏻’s office.
my old view, my perch for years.
we went to the beach with friends for my birthday...
... and we went to Gullane beach on the summer solstice, on June 21, the day before my birthday.
And we had this walk at Yellowcraig, walking along this big empty beach as the sun set.
We settled into the new place and explored some local walks.
my new view, and our own wee garden.
And we snuggled. Because being together is what makes a home.
