My PNW weekend adventure
In June, I had the chance to visit Seattle, Washington, for an Alaska Airlines photo project. My goal was simple, explore the city and its surrounding wilderness. Check out @AlaskaAir #iflyalaska on Instagram for even more travel inspiration.
Seattle, and the entire PNW, is known for its work life balance. It's possible to hold down a 9-5, but explore nearby mountain wilderness and ocean playgrounds. After my visit, I think it lives up to its reputation quite nicely. I stayed in an Airbnb in the city, and enjoyed wandering the water front and exploring the city. But I spent most of my time outside.
Stop 1: Sunrise hike Where: Buckhorn Mountain, on the Olympic Peninsula. Time: 6hr round trip hike, 8 hrs total from Seattle.
Stop 2: Mountain Biking Where: Tiger Mountain Time: 2 hr round drive from Seattle.
Stop 3: Kayaking Where: Don Armini Boat Launch, West Seattle Time: 2-3 hours, round trip
Stop 4: Around Seattle Where: Gas Works Park, Waterfront, and West Seattle Time: 3 hours total
Big thanks to Alaska Airlines for inviting me to experience Seattle. It proved to be the ideal weekend destination. Check out their Instagram page for more travel stoke! www.instagram.com/AlaskaAir #iflyalaska #epiXtrip
