Joshua Tree

Women Who Explore

One day we’re strangers, the next day you’d think we’d known each other forever. That’s how I feel with every Women Who Explore Getaway. A space for women of all ages, backgrounds and fitness levels to come together and explore. The Joshua Tree Getaway hosted by the amazing Melissa Wright provided ten women to experience the magic of this remarkable place.

The first night of our getaways always has a special place in my heart. It’s where the magic begins❣️

Our first adventure took us to Barker Dam

Helps when you have a Professional Photographer (Melissa) to position group photos perfectly!

Next stop, White Tank where we provided some people with some great entertainment and had way too much fun with some animal masks!

“That Photo is a little disturbing” my husbands response to this spur of the moment capture 😂

This girl makes me smile and laugh so hard. One of my favorite photos of the weekend as it captures Teddi’s carefree, fun loving spirit.

Behind the scenes of hilarious Boomerang video creations

Skull Rock

Our lunch stop on the Geology Tour Road. The site of some “Naked in Nature” moments.

Everyone got in touch with their inner child after Melissa surprised everyone with 99c kites to fly over the Keys View Look out.

Dani would find an opportunity to climb everywhere!

On the road again!

Joshua Tree Gals!

The warm glow of the setting sun. Giggles around a campfire. Welcoming a solo traveling woman to our camp. Camp food at its finest. The Milky Way. Concluding with creative light painting at 2am.

So much going on. Lights from campers exploring the rock on the left. Our new friend’s tent in the middle, & our roaring fire to the right.

Breathtaking views. Fresh, cool mountain air. A three hour 1.5 mile hike (I told you these getaways are for all fitness levels 😉). The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway gifted us with an exhilarating Saturday afternoon.

Everyone needs to smell a tree!

Huge thank you to Recess Clothing for providing us all with leggings and T-shirt’s which we proudly wore.

Our Black Belt Ninja creating an epic Boomerang video.

Quite possibly the reason a 1.5 mile hike took three hours, so many stops for laughs.

There’s something incredible about exploring places with like minded women who simply want to connect with others, have fun and experience something they wouldn’t necessarily do on their own. Women Who Explore getaways provide women, with no skills required, to get out and explore. There are so many fabulous getaways to choose from. Don’t hesitate, gift yourself an experience that you won’t forget and will treasure for a long time to come.

A very special thank you to Women Who Explore Ambassador Melissa Wright for doing such a phenomenal job of hosting her first getaway. www.instagram.com/hikinghodophile www.hikinghodophile.com
