Somewhere Warmer

Cacti, crabs and piña coladas

In September of 2016, I took my first trip to somewhere a little warmer than Canada. The journey consisted of a flight to Dallas, a road trip to Tucson, Ariz., and a continued drive across the Mexican border To Puerto Peñasco. It was beautiful.

There is a small lizard hidden here.

This tree is called a palo verde.

If you've never seen an authentic Mexican guacamole volcano, you're welcome.

"In every outthrust headland, in every curving beach, in every grain of sand, there is the story of the earth."

Rachel Carson

With cacti, crabs and piña coladas, this trip was nothing short of perfect. Until next time, adiós.
