Reduced Fat Cheese and Chutney Scones

Tasty treat with fewer calories!

This time of year we are all trying to be good but letting go of the treats from Christmas time whilst the nights are still cold and dark can be hard! This is as a recipe I found on social media and decided to have a go. They were a great success! Treat yourself to a warm tasty scone without feeling guilty afterwards!

If you don’t have onion chutney any will do!!

Rub the low fat spread into the flour.

Mix in 3/4 of The cheese and the dried sage, add the milk to make a soft dough.

Lightly kneed the dough on a floured surface then use a cutter to make the scone shape. There is no need to roll out the dough just shape with your hands

Place on a lined baking tray.

Top with chutney and sprinkle on the left over cheese.

Bake at 180 for 17-20 mins until golden

I have to confess I can’t resist adding butter but this will add to the calories!!
