Tre Cime di Lavaredo

There are hundreds and hundreds of stories about the "Tre Cime di Lavaredo" out there. Still, I can't resist to add one more. The beauty of the Dolomites can't be shown often enough.

In September I finally got to see the infamous "Tre Cime di Lavaredo". Wrapped up in many layers we started the round tour in foggy conditions.

These conditions revealed the UNESCO World Heritage Site's magical side. With every step, the view leaves you dumbstruck. D U M B S T R U C K.

We explored the man-made caves and tunnels that gave shelter to the soldiers in World War 1. Until 1919 the peaks formed part of the border between Italy and Austria.

The round tour takes you all in all 4 hours. Calculate one extra hour for a detour. Plus calculate another extra hour for all the moments you will be standing still and inhaling the beauty of this majestic scenery.
