Northern Rivers

New South Wales Australia

Hey lovelies! šŸ¤— I recently had a magical few days exploring my own backyard (the Northern Rivers of Visit NSW) with three of my favourite people! Lauren Bath, Matt Donovan & Madeleine Jones šŸ’ž We spent a couple of nights in Kingscliff at Mantra on Salt Beach chasing light around Fingal Head, Cabarita Headland, and Cudgen Lake. We swam with more turtles than I've ever seen in one snorkel, off Cook Island with Watersports Guru. We ate the yummiest food at Osteria, and we cruised the Tweed River with Mount Warning Tours on a deliciously foggy morning. We spent a night at the divinely serene EcOasis Resort where I could see the stars over Mt. Wollumbin from my bedroom balcony, and we had another night at Mavis's Kitchen and Cabin's @ Mt Warning, to head off on a wild goose chase one sunrise (long story haha)... omg! Haha! We even went to Lismore and found Flock Espresso & Eats for some more yummy treats! How did we fit all this in a four night trip I hear you ask!?! Hahahaha! Well that's just what we do! Lots and lots of chaos, uncontrollable laughter, missing the light, wrong turns, kilos gained, tired eyes and happy hearts! I hope this selection of photos expresses how awesome our time was, how beautiful the Northern Rivers of #newsouthwales are, and why I choose this place to be my home. My fave place on earth! All my images are proudly taken with my Olympus AU OM DE M1 mark II āœØšŸ’ž #olympusinspired Images with me in them are known as #jewlau collaborations šŸ¤£šŸ™Š snapped by the amazing @laurenepbath

First up // Fingal Head Sit atop the cliffs where the cutest lighthouse lives. Watch the pods of dolphins play, and the baby whales learn to breach. Gaze into the sunlight sparkling across the wild waves. Admire the basalt rocks and feel the energy of a history that time has not forgot.

One of my favourite places to feel totally at peace... a sense of freedom and love for my home is always abundant here.

Beauty so Absurd // Crams Farm Reserve I'd one day like to take a picnic hamper, a book and my favourite person to sit on the lush green grass beside the water, under the shade of the towering pines... and just be. All day long. Bliss.

One morning somewhere between Murwillumbah and Border Ranges National Park, after a 3am start to a mountainous road that wasn't open, and a hasty retreat back down the hill waiting for the sun to rise, searching for a road side stop with a nice vista... we happened across some unexpected magical moments...

Cudgen Lake & the twirling thingy photographers do that I can't remember the name of šŸ˜³šŸ™ˆšŸ’„

Tumbulgum & Tweed River Delights The highlight for me was here... a sunrise start on a dreamy fog shrouded river, cruising with the amazing Mount Warning Tours... spoilt by Lee, with coffee and treats from the delightful House Of Gabriel, beautiful birdlife, colourful sky, reflections on the water, and shenanigans in a kayak. Who could ask for anything more? Sighhhhhhhhh <3
