Last week, after weeks of feeling under par and too busy (and not in a creative way), we had some time off. Just a few day trips, but it felt great to escape. On Thursday we headed to the East Neuk in Fife for a walk at Crail and then at Cambo Estate. I thought I'd share this story in two parts, starting with Crail.
If you visit Crail, be sure to stop off at the amazing Crail Pottery. This is one of our favourite places - but be warned, there are so many pieces here, there's almost too much to take in during one trip. The courtyard is literally filled with pottery, as is the shop above the studio. I tend to be drawn to quite natural finishes, like these mugs...
But on this trip, I loved some of the colour combinations in these brighter pieces.
These subtle pinkish tones...
... wish I'd bought this jug.
And this blue!
Then we headed to Crail Harbour.
I could have spent a few hours here just photographing houses. So many individual places. So much character. These two caught my eye.
Look out for part two: Cambo Estate.
