| TOP 5 THINGS TO DO |
Howdy all, this Steller is about my Top 5 things to do when you visit the spiritual heart of Australia..... Uluru. I know a lot of people will be visiting over the next few months to see the amazing field of light art installation (cover pic) but I wanted to share some other things that you can do while you are there. I have been lucky enough to visit the rock 3 times and I'm still in awe every time I see it. A truly magical place.
ULURU CAMEL TOURS For a different perspective wake up early and watch Uluru and Kata Tjuta come to life from the back of a camel. Finish the morning with some home made damper & much needed coffee😋 The sunrise camel ride with Uluru Camel Tours is a must. www.ulurucameltours.com.au
EXPLORE THE ROCK After sunrise head down to Uluru for a self guided walk. Get up close and personal with the rock, visit the Mutitjulu Waterhole (pic above), see some ancient rock art and learn about the indigenous culture. ☺️
MARUKU ARTS Learn the secrets of dot painting from the Anangu (local indigenous). This is my story in dot painting. The story is about me travelling from the Gold Coast over the desert to the red centre (Uluru). The BLUE and YELLOW dots symbolise the ocean and the beach where I live. The smaller circle is my HOME and the WHITE dots symbolise my family and friends. The squiggly lines symbolise TRAVELLING. The large circle symbolises Uluru and the small brown/red dots are the desert.
ULURU MOTORCYCLE TOURS Take a Harley Tour out to Kata Tjuta ( The Olgas) If you've never been on the back of a Harley before then this is an absolute must. It was so so awesome. www.ulurucycletours.com
ULURU FORK & VIEW This was by far my new favourite activity at Uluru. This amazing open air bus/restaurant collects you from your hotel and drives straight to watch the sunset over Uluru. Imagine sitting in your own private restaurant drinking champagne, eating canapés and watching the sunset over Uluru and that's only the beginning.... I don't want to give to much away but the night continues with some amazing food and even more amazing scenery. www.uluruforkandview.com.au
This is just a few of the awesome things that you can do at Uluru. I can't wait to get back out there to explore some more. If you need more information shoot me an email or check out www.northernterritory.com
