Senior Night: Coginchaug vs. East Haven
Coginchaug faced off against East Haven on Tuesday May, 16. East Haven, being a LL school, posed a serious threat to Coginchaug even before the game started; however, Coginchaug managed to hold them to a 1-1 game until the sixth inning when East Haven scored three more, putting them at an advantage. Coginchaug, although unable to score again, played with immense heart and vigor. Even though they lost the game, they came out and had a great time on their last home game. Nate McDonald, the starting pitcher and captain, said, "They were a tough opponent, but we put up a fight. We played to our best ability and that's all we could ask for."
