The White Rim is a relatively thin, hard layer of white sandstone located in Southeastern Utah. In the 1950s a road was built on top of the sandstone layer through what is now the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park. It is one of the few places in the US National Park system where mountain biking is allowed.
