Have you ever heard of the Clarence Valley? Well I certainly hadn't a few months ago despite the fact that it is an enormous region just two hours south of where I live! Deriving its name from the Clarence River, which flows through most of the area, the region is over 10,000 square kilometers in size and includes some pretty famous destinations like Yamba, Wooli and Grafton.

I started in Yamba and Angourie and was fortunate to get some gorgeous light on my first few days ...

Yamba Kayak

I was also fortunate to meet some passionate operators like the crew at Yamba Kayak - http://www.yambakayak.com

And Irons and Craig! 😍😋 http://ironsandcraig.com 🍓🍒🍩🥞

And Angourie's Yum Yum Store 😍 http://www.clarencetourism.com/eating-out/angourie/yum-yum-angourie-store/p/1354

Oh, did I mention the Soldier Crabs at Iluka? 💙😳🦀

Next stop was Wooli and my highlights included SUP boarding with Stellar Water Sports and hot chips and Pasito at the fish and chip shop!

We also spent a lot of time adventuring at Diggers Camp and basically all I can say is ... 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

If you've ever dreamed of seeing kangaroos at the beach you have to find time to visit Red Cliff Camping Area ...

Secret 'locals only' waterfall in Glenreagh - 'Scout Falls'. Ask a local and you might get directions ...

I finished my trip in Grafton, which was also surprising ...

The entire week away was incredible really and I have to say this is some of my favorite coastal photography in a long time. Funnily enough I was supposed to be spending more time in the hinterland but the rain put that idea to rest so I'll likely have to go back ;) 🐠🦀🌊💙🐚
