Top 5 experiences in Swedish Lapland

πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺ I spent a couple of days close to the Arctic Circle in Sweden and here are my favorite experiences: 1) See the Northern lights 2) Take a dog sledge ride 3) Experience Sami culture & reindeers 4) Have a traditional dinner in a Tipi 5) Spend a night in an Iglootel See more in this story πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺ

We stayed in Arjeplog at a frozen lake.

The first morning we went to explore the surrounding area...

... and discovered an old Volvo.

A dog sledge ride was one of my favorite activities.

They are calm at first...

... but once released they are unstoppable.

You can also rent a skidoo πŸ˜‰

The landscape is incredible!

There's even a mountain view near Arjeplog.

A dinner at an open fire in a Tipi was an incredible experience.

But the highlight of our trip happened that night...!

πŸ’š We saw Northern Lights! πŸ’š

The next day we met Anne and her reindeer.

She's a Sami reindeer herder and political activist.

And she told us a lot about their culture.

And then we ate dinner in an Igloo!

You should Marion! -- ps few days ago I was reading your stories about Florida and Miami because i'm going there this summer.. I'm trying to plan a on the road trip around Florida, I really want to discover that land in a different way.. I mean, of corse I want to visit the main spots but also the hidden gems.. does it make sense? Do you have any advice? 😍

  • ladyvenom

@saradeluigi that sounds like a great plan! I have friends and family in Florida so I visit twice a year. It's not easy to really find "hidden" gems, because it is truly well visited - but the places I suggested in the stories are partially off the beaten path (especially some of the natural reserves and parks). In summer it's quiet anyhow, because it's so hot and humid. When are you coming? I'll be there again in August ☺

  • saradeluigi

Me tooπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ we're landing in Miami around the 14th of August and leaving from Orlando the 27th!

  • ladyvenom

@saradeluigi ahhaha how funny!! We'll be there until the 19th I think... but we're staying at the Golf coast (Naples/Ft Myers area) ☺

  • Maxfloyd

Very good work ! I'm in the same work of green sky I'll publish it soon

  • ladyvenom

@MAXFLOYD I read that there's also white and pink Aurora sometimes, but green is the most common color! ☺

  • Maxfloyd

    Yeah I think so ❄️

  • ladyvenom

@MAXFLOYD well maybe we see the white and pink ones as well one day! Where did you see them?

  • Maxfloyd

@ladyvenom basically we can see them where the weather is cold , for exemple the south of the north of Algeria and the north of south lol I mean between the north and Saharian door ! Until now I managed to take only the wilky way

  • Maxfloyd

I think it's impossible here in Algeria ! Because the weather is very different , for exemple today is 19Β° and the night 2Β° , but in Sahara it was 34Β° ! You see ?

  • ladyvenom

@MAXFLOYD oh I thought you said you saw some already! My bad β˜ΊπŸ™ˆ yes you gotta travel way up north - like to Sweden, Norway or Iceland. Otherwise it's impossible to see it ☺

  • Maxfloyd

@ladyvenom I was in Iceland last year but I was novice in photography

Love this! That dinner in the igloo looks like an incredible experience! I once lived in a quinzhee (like an igloo except not built from blocks) for 3 days and will never forget it
