Cholla Trail-Camelback Mountain

February 2017

My grandfather passed away on February 29, 2017. My mom is having a hard time (which is to to expected) and hiking has always been a source of obtaining peace and calmness to her. Two days after he passed, I asked her to go hiking at one of her favorite places around the valley. We spend a wonderful day hiking the Cholla Trail, & reflecting on life. ❀ I cherish days like this.

One of my favorite parts of living in Arizona is the abundance of the western wildlife and foliage out here. Ever since I was little I've had a fascination with the desert and cactus'. So much so, that when I was little, my grandfather made me Cactus and coyotes carved out of wood for my western bedroom theme πŸ’š 🌡
