FURTHER DOWN THE SPIRAL...

Another endeavor.

"Every search begins with beginner's luck. And every search ends with the victor's being severely tested." -Paulo Coehlo

And thus begins my adventure into the world of Junko Tabei, through a story told by Zoë Tucker. In the beginning there are accessories and character development...

I abandoned black and white and pen and ink and dug into my presents from Walter - so many colours!

Moving into environment, I kind of ran off course, exploring drawing and exploding my new little world.

A little village...

I asked my Silas (6) to do my homework for me one day when I was feeling particularly lost and he planted this gorgeous tree onto the blank page!

Nevertheless, she persisted...

As a lover of biographies with children who ask for stories that 'aren't real', I added the Tibetan Sand Fox friend as a way to lure my own children into the otherwise otherworldly true story!

Lettering! All of this scribble scrabbling resulted in the following submitted pieces...

I am hoping to go to Bologna in April with my family! Over the next 2 months I will be working on illustrations for a manuscript that I have written. For more: @thebrotherskent and @pegandawl on Instagram.
